The Captiva Island Historical Society is pleased to present the second Betty Anholt Guardian of History Award to Kristie Anders for her contributions and accomplishments in fostering and preserving island history.

As an island historian, conservationist, educator and past member of the CIHS Board of Directors, Ms. Anders has freely shared her time and vast knowledge over decades. The track record she has built through her educational efforts is remarkable.  She is embodiment of the CIHS mission of gathering, preserving, interpreting and sharing history.
