Ginny Reiss Joins CIHS Board

The Captiva Island Historical Society is delighted to welcome Ginny Reiss to its Board of Directors, where she will have the opportunity to share her extensive educational experience as a Ginny Reiss Historical Society photo.jpgteacher, mentor and program developer in both Colorado and Ohio school systems.

Ginny has a passion for Captiva and its rich history. She has been a frequent CIHS volunteer, sits on the board of the Captiva Library, has various HOA leadership roles and serves as an officer of ami+partners, a Florida marketing services company.

During her years as an educator, several of the subject matter programs involved mentoring new teachers in ways to convert research material into understandable blocks of information presented in interesting and intriguing ways.

She and her husband, Mark have been splitting their time in Captiva and Golden, Colorado since 1999 with ever increasing residency in Florida.

Along with CIHS board members, Ginny is committed to being an active contributor to the success and continued growth of the organization and its programs.
